One major difference I know of, is Dollarama has a huge amount of variety opposed to TRS and population is a lot more confined than Australia. Not to mention Canadians are generally poorer than Australian and therefore cheaper stores tend to do better. Or at least that was my observations when I lived there on a working holiday visa for 2 years.
