I reckon most men are totally lost in the area of female / male interactions which is probably the basis for so much drama.
I think most women do not have men in mind when they doll themselves up for a fun night out. They do it for themselves and to feel good. I think many men see them all dollied up and mistake that as a sign of come get me, which means trouble ahead if it's not reciprocated. If women did dress up to attract men then why dress up when with a man? It's all about looking good and feeling good. Unfortunately a woman showing cleavage or similar can lead to a lot of men crossing the line.
