in my opinion, society has always been skewed in the difference to how male and female violence is perceived
I grew up in an era where it was seen as bad behaviour and unacceptable to hit a woman, but it was normal behaviour and acceptable for a woman to slap a man’s face.
And in most cases it was viewed as humorous.
