Unfortunately, mate selection happens and women ignore 80% of men. Within the 20% they chose there are indeed some good men but bad boys predominate because something about them creates the tingles.
Later in life women may well giv up on the bad boys and marry one of the 80% they previously totally ignored. Chris Rocks comedy goes into this being the primary reason married women are always unhappy. "You are not their first choice" he says. This is also why the sex life dies after marriage the incels so married are managed rather than truthfully desired. The bare minimum or less is done. Unhappiness all round.
I am by no means suggesting bad choices are only made by women. Men go after the beauties who often are spoilt brats living on easy mode all their lives due to 'pretty privilege'. But this is not relevant to DV so much.
