I think that's a general blanket wide response from the media. Some outlets know their listeners/readers don't care about indigenous deaths & others don't want to highlight indigenous deaths for fear of provoking racist responses.
My point is that domestic violence is a national wide disgrace of plague proportions that undoubtedly is worse in indigenous communities. But inferring that 10 deaths in one demographic is not really a problem but 100 in another is, is just a smokescreen. 1 single death due to domestic violence is unacceptable.
