Whatever way you look at it paints a very violent picture of Australian society, mainly 18 to 35 and the increased use of drugs in particular ICE has led to the increase.

An estimated 8 million Australians (41%) have experienced violence (physical and/or sexual) since the age of 15, including:
31% of women and 42% of men who have experienced physical violence
22% of women and 6.1% of men who have experienced sexual violence
Homicide and related offences
There were 377 victims ofhomicide and related offencesrecorded in Australia in 2022, an increase of 7 victims from the previous year.
Most victims of homicide and related offences were:
male (69% or 259 victims)
aged over 18 years (85% or 320 victims)
For homicide and related offences:
nearly two-thirds (64%) occurred at a residential location (241 victims)
more than half (59%) involved the use of a weapon (222 victims)
more than a third (36%) were family and domestic violence (FDV) related (135 victims)

alcohol remains the chief drug involved in DV according to numerous studies. but you make a substantial point that ice is also involved in aggressive impulses/reactions.

I might suggest looking at academic studies in DV.
