Two types of abuse within marriage we don't hear about are :-

Financial abuse - outrageous spending habits mostly by the female

Friend zoning the husband or withdrawal of sexual relations - while the husband is expected to keep doing his side of things up the whole time.

Until society also addresses the female side of things behind causes of DV we simply won't make much progress on the stats.
