a few years ago we also had a feral kitten turn up at our back door. she sat there calling loudly and walked up to me as soon as I walked out the door. she hasn't killed a bird, but she's played hard with a few skinks. 99% we can keep her from sneaking out the door as we're going in /out. she's quite a sneaky little thing. enjoy zip.

I don't think of you as anything these days, other than perhaps chameleonic. yet I too vary my language time to time. formal to loony mostly instead of left to right. at least thats how I see my posts. but everyone interprets according to expectations more than whats said/read.

we're in a similar position zip. we moved to a wildlife life zone on the edge of town. not much in the way of native animals since the 2018/19 drought though. but the roos have come back last year.
