whilst I accept that violence has been dropping in Oz for a long time --- and yes, it's mostly men

there seems to be some things that are just around atm ------

like lots of knife attacks --------------- and lots of mental cases in the news

this one - 'homeless' alleged perpetrator
    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-30/nsw-police-man-stabbing-hebersham-charge/103785166

this one - to be seen.
17 year old girl kills her 10 year old sister

I don't know - I keep hearing more and more about young kids going berserk ----------- had a personal contact only in the last week - who had a 12 year old daughter - who, out of the blue and out of character - attacked her 8 year old sister, mother intervened - she got attacked as well - then, the father was attacked

some mental thing happening - and I can't recall this 'kind' of thing so much in the past

plenty of violence - yes ------ but normally young males etc.

it seems to be different now

and young men carrying knives as a normal part of kit for going out ------------- buggered if I can recall that kind of thing unless one were going camping or fishing
