There are many variables to consider as to whether the exercise is worth it. For me, the hobby satisfaction has value so the economic hurdles are lower. I also think that at some point in the near future, there may be a battery supply squeeze that makes getting the batteries more difficult.

Whilst I could have put the batteries in the garage, I was looking instead at the external industrial cases. The're not cheap, but space in my garage is very valuable to me as well. If some of my other investments come good, I hope to get this going later this year.

Interesting with EV car batteries and using them as reserve batteries networked and would work with short commutes or workplaces with chargers or for those that work from home. Having them on lease may have advantages and also help with the massive depreciation EV cars are expected to have
