I've been putting money into RFX capital raisings on the hope that any profit might subsidise my install. Plan B was to put the next chunk of cash into the batteries directly to see what sort of benefit was possible through time shifting and protecting against Amber wholesale peaks for a home setting.

There are many variables to consider as to whether the exercise is worth it. For me, the hobby satisfaction has value so the economic hurdles are lower. I also think that at some point in the near future, there may be a battery supply squeeze that makes getting the batteries more difficult.

Whilst I could have put the batteries in the garage, I was looking instead at the external industrial cases. The're not cheap, but space in my garage is very valuable to me as well. If some of my other investments come good, I hope to get this going later this year.
