Haha can we agree on terrible timing on my behalf?

Whilst I can see the argument that Qantas is cheap on fundamentals, and in comparison to overseas airlines share price performance, Qantas is most definitely lagging - I personally have difficulty in purchasing this stock.

I think given the shorter term issues that Qantas is facing (economic weakness, global deflation and potential virus outbreak) as well as the structural issues that have beleaguered Qantas for years now, I really can't justify a 52 week high on the share price.

I think the current rise in share price is part speculation and momentum, but I think in the next 12 months there will likely continue to be issues that will keep the share price down.

The business simply struggles to turn a profit, and the unique disadvantage with domestic ownership laws will continue to keep Qantas uncompetitive.
