GM crops are far more profitable and management of them is easier. It amases me that some(very small minority)of farmers want this but still try to avoid a technology fee.
I am not sure about soya but farmer kept hybrid seed from corn and canola will generally yeild 15% less in the next crop. From an economic perspective there is no point retaining hybrid seed. Buy new seed pay the technology fee every year and reap the profits!
Monsanto are protecting their interests as every human being in the free world has the right to do.
