Trump has been tough on Russia, below are some links to prove it. 

All the media you get caught up in his diplomacy skills and those skills of Trumps do work if you look at NK, NAFTA, EU trade and his diplomacy gets things done a lot quicker than other leaders, some of them fart around for years trying to do a deal.

He says he likes Putin and wants a relationship with Russia because thats the best thing for the USA and the world, and it is, the best thing is they stop fighting and do a deal.  Same with China too.  The problem is the three of them are like 1, 2, 3 in world power, we can't just ignore them and keep barring them from the world, you can't let them think they've got nothing to lose and thus go to war, compromises have to be made on all fronts or we'll get a big war imo.  

Trump appearing friendly to Russia shows brave leadership imo and is visonary to want to close the gap between them, the USA has to make the first move to peace as no-one will listen to Putin.
