As I see it, the Oz media's anti-Trump bias is due to the lack of resources to form an independent view of the US elections so newsrooms just pipeline whatever the US media is claiming. Under previous circumstances this has not been a problem because each US source might have been running a different agenda. Along comes Trump who is threatening to tip over a lot of gravy trains, and the bias points in only one direction.

Additionally, Oz media is a very small group and nobody wants to dissent. Nobody was ever fired for following consensus opinion. Even Oz cartoonists aren't allowed to dissent.
