Or could it be he didn't want to go through and put his family through the level of slander directed at Jeff Sessions and his lovely family during the democrats disgraceful filibustering? Many don't want to put their family through that level of shameless slandering. Where the democrats never seemed to let the truth get in the way of a good slandering.
