According to the below, Donepezil does give benefits to brain function by increasing stuff in the brain.  I dont see how reduced brain atrophy would not be a good thing as well and at least contribute to this. The above exp uses early alzheimers pateints with, i assume, minimal cognitive loss, so I would expect congnition to be difficult to assess between groups.


Thus a continued trend in brain atrophy reduction by PBT might also do something (you would hope), though without potential negatives of Donepezil (see link).

I am hoping we see continued brain atrophy trend growing much stronger at two years.  SO far it has been seen in HD at 6 months, ?though seemingly only suggested?, and a definite trend in Alzhiemers at 1 year.  Suggesting perhaps a commulative effect?  Such a trend would mean a drug i think.
