People fought for fhousand of years in pursuit of freedom and rising out of the muck heap of primitive society, finally was distilled into a seed that is the Engish Charter of Rights in 1215. It didn't stop people being ar53holes and factions, but it did give a guarantee of the individual being the building block of democracy.
The disappointment I feel is "The Mother of all Parliaments" appears to have become a hotchpotch of sectarian and racial loathing and instead of setting a good example, rather the vehicle for the "Mother of All FUs" over the last 30 years. And the shame is we seem to follow their lead like pups.
