In my experience, instos happiest .... just like me .... with a big fat cheque at fair value, then they can drill until the cows, or should I say in this case, gemsbok come home !
Let the rebellion begin ... and SFR stumping up with an improved offer at 50cps. Just imagine the uproar if some investors get 45cps (cash component announced on 25th Sept), and by the time that the consideration is paid for scrip on 23rd October, we’ve had the usual October market flash crash and say SFR at $5.75, then MOD investors would receive the princely sum of 38cps in SFR scrip. It would be one if life’s little ironies that cow ed, passive MOD shareholders that did nothing would receive the initial value that its own Board knocked back earlier this year! Ah I know where i’d like to position that drill bit ....
