I think people understand – how could you not with the number of times it is mentioned? – they just don’t agree it’s as relevant as you and many others suggest. Personally, I think it is relevant, but I can see the other point of view that goes something like this...
The market doesn’t value a company for what it’s worth now, but what it’s worth in the future. WEB still has the same positives it had before Covid hit, i.e the ones that attracted takeover interest, especially Webbeds. Those positives are likely to increase in value if WEB survives (yes, it is still a case of “if”) and the value of its future operations will more than offset the dilution.
As I see it, that’s why many people are not focussing on the dilution, but rather the future. To me, this is wishful thinking and too optimistic, as no one knows how long the virus will last. But it doesn’t imply ignorance or lack of concern about the dilution.
