The largest industry to be hit by this pandemic is obviously the travel industry which has knock on effects towards tourism and all other things related. This is also represented in the current share valuation.
The biggest boom we will shortly see will be a return to these sectors. Everyone that has been confined to their households or locality has itchy feet for numerous reasons, wanting to see friends family, change of scenario, work opportunities etc
There is no way it's going to be 5 years for this to return, people would rather risk death or becoming ill way before that 5 year mark. Especially over something that can be managed. We will see faster testing turn around times before we see a vaccine and the moment the gov and the industry look and put into place a way to manage travel (which so am certain they are already have been looking into), will be a trigger for the rest of these sectors to have life breathed into them again. Even before Christmas there will be heavy pressure to have these industries managed and treated to allow them to open their doors. The same way they deal with any other virus or sickness within any other country.
Take what you want from this.. however the answer isn't a vaccine, it's managed travel.. and right now there are more people on the planet who are wanting to break out and travel.
