and yet Japan are still going ahead with creating a travel bubble with Au and NZ. I know if Tokyo had the same (although they are less) cases as Melbourne I would be willing to hop on a flight and reside in Japan for a few weeks, pretty sure there are many others who think the same. In fact did just that last year when they had the typhoon and flooding that flooded out all of their bullet trains. At the current rate you are more likely to be killed by a natural disinter there than via COVID.
