Russia (Putin) has just announced within the last hour that a vaccine will be publicly available within the next 2 weeks - August 10th (is starting to get posted all over other forums such as reddit so news will hit these forums soon). This will also cramp Trumps vaccine oriented campaign drive as now Russia can lay claim to being the first country to have a vaccine readily available to all. This thing is greater than the space race. You can expect Trump to want to beat Russia to this so I would also expect some announcements to be made from Trump. In either case, publicly available vaccine in August. So I wouldn't call that "not going away soon".
