With respect, as bad as this age is with gross inequalities of, have and have not, it pales into insignificance compared to ages past. I'm not sure why you are so obsessed with the state of the planet today. You seem to think that just because you are alive right now everything has to happen now while you live. The really ugly stuff happened long before you were born. You are not respecting the people who really suffered the most throughout history. The countless wars, the great plagues, the mass starvation, the horrors of tyranny and poverty. 100s of millions suffering and dying. Today, as bad as it is, it is still the best it has ever been. You have to accept that you missed the good stuff. Christian prophecy is surely over. Religion is being rejected primarily because it has failed to stay up with human understanding. It's a mess of ritual, dogma and superstition. It still peddles beliefs from the Bronze Age in spite of the evidence of science. Once people gained an education religion was always going to in trouble. You're flogging a dead horse. I mean, out of 8 billion people you will always find somebody to follow your belief, because most people are not discerning, they just want to belong to something even if it makes no sense, so in that regard you are offering a good service for such people, but don't expect anybody with a basic education to follow your belief. What they need to get out of is fundamental religions like yours that has lost touch with reality.

People are putting their differences aside to help others in their time of need. There are numerous examples of this in our time including the world which is often at each others' throats rallying around Tonga to help. This does not only apply to nations being supported in their times of need but also to individuals. Surely @MrGordon , you must see a trend of humans being more thoughtful and caring to each other in our age.
