If the purpose of revelation was to assure the faithful for the last 2,000 years or so that the kingdom of God was just around the corner then why the delay? IMO, the only plausible rational explanation that one can find is that there are still some positions to be fulfilled among the 140,000 places set aside for the anointed, probably due the the lack of extra virgin olive oil caused by the restless and satanic inspired commercialization of such product.
