College (university) degrees are 'qualification' - qualification has never ever equated to quality.
One can be very capable of passing assessment, but not be smart at all. It's always been the case, there is nothing new.
If one completes assessment successfully and becomes qualified - then, gains employment (if that is the aim) --------- it is then that the real education begins.
Entering a workforce and society which has an embedded culture - which is way too often in opposition to what was explored during the university activities.
In my experience - the indoctrination does not at all happen at university - it happens in the workplace.
