I was very pro capital distribution but with STO potentially fast tracking Dorado under new ownership I think CVN is better off holding onto the cash until some some clarity on a revised strategy for the JV is established, i.e. whether the FPSO is on option to fast tracking Dorado development in 2026 or if it's optimal to drill more first for potentially a better development plan of a bigger field.
Santos with deep pockets is amazing for CVN!
What also changes now is Santos are not shopping around town a sell down of their 80% interest!!!! The only stake for sale now is CVN's 10-20% interest and the price just went up!
