We need to ask what ADNOC's real goal is.
I suspect it's the LNG assets (Qld CSG, Barossa and PNG etc).
A deal with FIRB might include "we'll spin out to market" the domestic assets - Cooper Basin, non-LNG NWS and non-producing assets and exploration tenements. They get what they want and domestic assets remain in Aust hands.
Question is - is that better for CVN?
