I think the very first of the endeavors that failed to materialize and which faded into the never-never was the famous green box....a joint venture with a bio-science company that was funded by linc....it was promised by PB to be the ultimate solution to the CO2. The CO2 was to be pumped into a building housing algae and special colored fluoro lighting which would enhance the growth and the algae would be stripped away at regular intervals and be pumped underground...they spend a bit of money on this and it was headed up by an Italian scientist.......it just quietly disappeared just like all the following distractions..
The BIGGEST promise that has never materialized yet was promised since inception was the $20 barrel of diesel that Linc was going to produce from 1c of stranded coal....this promise was repeated year after year after year...I think the last time I inquired about it the price had increased to $30...........possible inflation over 10 years.
