Sure - but given that less than two weeks ago you were querying the validity of my "bricks n mortar" comment - only to now see many more posters agree on this point, dont you think you should take a better look at your assumptions?
DES can do some smart moves, quickly, but not these minor, strategically insignificant moves - that are a management distraction.
DES needs to work out if its a wholesaler of catalogue, operator of media, or operator of communities.
So far, its revenue is saying the first, todays move is a mockery of the second, and QFX is a future cash liability on the third that wont add any real scale or value - but will need mega $$ to progress to digital delivery.
Domenic isnt silly - suspect he is now overburdened with a conservative, short sighted board - and THATS a real worry, as DES will (or maybe has) lost its pioneering, market leading edge. Today is indicative of that - lets hope its not endemic.
