    Ah, franking credits. I suspect that could well be the reason for the discrepancy. Hamersley Iron should be generating hundreds of millions in taxes within years so it's definitely worth quite a bit to the LTD shares. Knew I missed something.

    For any holders of RIO shares, this issue of BRW might be worth picking up. Cover story is on RIO. There's quite a bit about the future of RIO, and how it's undergoing a huge transformation. One interesting part is how they're considering setting up a land development division, since they own massive blocks of property that apparently could generate around US$8 billion in revenue, something which the market hasnt' priced in yet. All up - tone of the article is quite bullish. Very worthwhile read.
