Tonight's post is another practical example of the workings of our magic drug...

Editor's note:I came across this one a couple of years ago and printed it off....I on occasion do try and go trough some of the older posts, articles and papers...I picked this one up a couple of days ago as I had printed it in colour back in 2019 and it stands out in my library of PAR work...

Tonight is a summary of part of this original clipping, as always, do enjoy this practical story.

    THE ARTICLE

The article was run in the Adelaide Advertiser on May 11th 2019.

The Advertiser's article on Paradigm's "Pain Free Drug" that ran over three pages back in 2019.

I await the day we make it on to other newspapers. Yeah, I want to see us in The Wall Street Journal...The Guardian, The New York Times. I have a dream of seeing us headline in The Lancet...maybe even after a few years, Time Magazine...and certainly some reference to us on The Arthritis Foundation of USA.

When will Mozz see the above publication in the newstands?

    RICCIUTO'S STORY

Mark Ricciuto born in Waikerie, South Australia. Another player recruited by SANFL team, West Adelaide.
Made it to the Crows in '92.Forced to retire after some 312 games in just over 13 years, due to his left knee "could no longer take the daily footy burden".

Over his career Mark Ricciuto has had multiple arthroscopies, in fact Greg Williams has had some 11 over his career.

    ARTHO-WHO?

An Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure performed typically on the knee or other joints such as the elbow, ankles, hip or wrist.
Typically this surgery is done through a small incision and is aided by a insertable camera.

Often the surgeon will assess what is required at the time and the surgeon may or may not do the surgery on the spot. It can be local or general in terms of anesthesia.

    BACK TO THE STORY

So much Ricciuto was in pain he had to hassle his Doc...

"My doctor said don't call me, I can't do any more for you".

"You need a replacement but you are too young".

On top of that he could no longer run to lose weight.

Paradigmers this is the problem that gets exasperated...no longer being in the position to be able to exercise lends itself to more comorbidities and eventually can lead to heart disease and other problems linked with being overweight. One study found some example comorbidities with the following prevalence ratios 3 :

However, six weeks of pentosan changed him remarkably...He reported that "it soothed his aching back immeasurably while his knee, shorn of much cartilage, has improved as well".

Interestingly, Ricciuto heard Cameron Mudge's story and how Cameron also couldn't run before he took on the course of iPPS and could start running again...that was enough to convince Ricciuto to not only try iPPS for himself but the join the shareholder set at IPO.

"While his back and knee have improved significantly, Ricciuto says the improvement after the trials has been more of a whole of body experience".

This is another beauty of the working of iPPS...it naturally spreads to all joints...Of course Andrew Walker (read his story here ----> WALKER'S STORY ) added to this story by saying "It turned my life upside down I had gone from playing elite level footy to being crippled"..."Four months after the drug trials, Walker turned up to help West Preston FC with pre season training and later ended up playing a full season - an inconceivable turnaround, he said".

The turnaround story is also apparent with Greg Williams who went through a similar situation, Williams commented in the same article, "I was sat on the couch and put on 10 kilos, but have now lost it again through being so active again". This was the dramatic ability iPPS have given these guys.

    So it gave them:

    1) Reduction in pain
    2) Increased function
    3) The ability to exercise again, which in turn gives them a healthier life back...it not only halts the sedentary lifestyle but it allows for them to get active again.

    My final point....

All three players have managed to avoid Knee Replacement.
