Agreed. I think people misunderstand my harping on the constant EPS consensus misses. I don't personally care because I understand the numbers behind current EPS. But constantly missing analysts consensus indicates poor communication with investors. To me it's a problem simply because it brings the wrong kind of attention. It's easily fixed by better guidance. So why not fix it?
In a high growth early commercialization stage company like Avita the primary valuation metric generally used is price to sales. At 9.4x it's probably around fair value.
But you still have to pay attention to debt, cash flow and other metrics.
Where companies can get into financial problems is when they expand the business too rapidly. Something to keep an eye on here.
