    It's all speculation.

    But you may have noticed things have changed in the USA. It's all about survival now. There is a fair chance that BHP will have a go at Alcoa.

    This will be more likely if RIO is off the radar for them. If the Chinalco deal for RIO gets FIRB approval (and it will because FMG got approval the other day) BHP needs to look for other victims as it is in a great position in the current cycle to grow cheaply.
