omg, on what basis do you say:
"you cant use the deposit on the crown deposit at LAMP because it involvest he use of another chemical reaction process which ONLY the chinese can solve."?
If that were true, why would Lynas bother attempting to claim that the Crown deposit needs to be sold to a friendly partner?
You make it sound as though Crown is a completely different geology and virtually useless to Lynas, yet somehow Nick Curtis and his Chinese comtacts are the only ones who can develop it.
Last time I looked, Nick was Chairman and CEO of Lynas. Lynas is a $4 billion plus company that can easily raise capital without the help of the Chinese. Why couldn't Nick use his contacts to develop Crown in his current role as CEO of a company with vastly more resources than Forge? Hell will freeze over before a startup worth 20 million can develop a billion dollar project on its own over 10 years, so who is going to provide the bulk of the capital and expertise? Looking at it another way, if it really is going to cost a billion and take 10 years, if you were a shareholder of Forge, why on earth would you support this deal? At least one side of this equation is getting hoodwinked here. It is my contention that Forge shareholders are prepared to be ripped off by Nick to the tune of one third of their market cap because they know that LYC shareholders are getting dudded far worse.
As for Malaysia, the Malaysians can't afford to be labelled a sovereign risk to capital, which they undoubtedly would if they were foolish enough to cancel to substantially delay the LAMP at this stage. However if anything, this controversy is even more reason why Nick Curtis should not be attempting to divest assets to himself for chump change when he should have kept his eye on the ball from the start.
You say what goes around comes around. Who is screwing who here? The way I see it Nick is screwing around shareholders who are simply defending their rights. I hope you are right about Karma because in that case Nick is getting what he deserves, and he won't like it...
