Morrison is a moderate. Not to be considered a dyed in the wool conservative. He is the best salesman the Liberal Party has. Thats why he has been given the portfolios he has by messrs Abbott and Turnbull.

His elevation to PM imo is a calculation of: If anyone can give the Liberals a chance of winning the next election it is Morrison. I think people will warm to him and has a good chance of winning over the Howard Battlers demographic which the Coalition need to win.

My hope is Morrison goes long to May 19th 2019 to build a relationship with the electorate, look prime ministerial and maximise the benefits of encumbancy.

If it becomes clear that Shorten is going to win Morrison is imo still best placed to save as much furniture as possible.

I dont think the next federal election is going to be a landslide.
