The usual suspects (one in particular) said Lake will be trucking in millions and millions of litres of Hydrochloric Acid to the Kachi site - through environmentally sensitive areas no less! They also said that acid will be injected back into the salar. NOT SO. The chlor-alkali plant that is included in the CAPEX for the Kachi project will produce all of the HCL they will need on-site....and it will made from "harmless sodium chloride". The HCl used in the process then reverts back to the harmless sodium chloride which is then recycled into the next batch of HCl.
