With all due respect your 15% loss implies to me that you may be new to the stock market. Take note that this is a lesson. Sure, prices may have bottomed. BMN could be on the way up. You could make money. Lots of it. But your strategy is flawed. Don't try and buy falling knives. It may work this time but you are going against the crowd. You will lose in the long term. Always have a reason to buy and a reason to sell. Buying because the stock has fallen to fresh lows as justification for it being 'overdone' is a mistake that many newcomers make. Those who traded during the GFC, and even during the Uranium boom (note BMN reached 4.14 not long ago) will know all too well how painful it is to invest because a stock 'looks cheap'.
And also, no matter HOW MUCH research you put into a stock, you will never know 100% what its going to do because there are variables you simply dont know and cant control. Therefore diversification is absolute key. Best to have a highly diversified portfolio (not just stocks, property and fixed interest included) and have maybe no more than 10% (preferably 5%) in shares that you are buying through your own research in an attempt to 'beat the market. You can easily diversify through etf's (e.g. look at STW) or managed index funds (e.g. vanguard). As always dyor and don't listen to die hard fans on any one stock because their comments will be highly biased to the stocks they have an interest in, and if they are good communicators, they can get a crowd to follow them. This all works in bull markets, but the forums, and these 'leaders' seem to dissapear when bear markets hit - like now.
