China is set to give green lights to new plants around Aug. This can happen even earlier based on the news yesterday that
a new type of nuclear contaminated water treating equipment has been tested.
Because it is very costly to shut down billion-dollar plant due to fuel shortage, all plants in the world must have secured long term contracts of uranium supply before being built. So it is not surprise to see pdn and bhp are pushing ahead their expansion plans so they can start negotiating new contracts.
To generate same amount of electricity, a coal plant needs to burn 3 million tons of coal per year, whereas a nuclear plant only needs 20 tons of uranium fuel. Thus if we want to survive on this planet, part of the solution has to be nuclear.
At least in the next 3 months we will be rewarded, although i intend to hold a bit longer.
