yep - well said. Notable, also, she DID NOT ever renew her "Authorised to practice law" certificate - ever again - even when being unemployed for 6 months after all the blow-up at Slater and Gordon. WHY? Afraid she'd have to explain the sudden "stink" back at the office of her last employment? - should an employer's recommendation, or pst work history and compitentancy assessments have had to be provided? If she was SO efficient - WHY did she allow it to run out at all? Surely this was a prized possession, or moreso, absolutely a crucial requirement, for a Partner in such a leading and prestigious CBD legal firm? She let it lapse - WHY?? This is NOT a minor issue! Imagine her fronting the firm's MD - Peter Gordon - "Oh Peter, whoops, I've let my rego run out!" Was this gross oversight and carelessness - or fear?

Nurses, for instance, have to front up and prove they're still "up with it" with regard to their training, etc. when they renew their practice licence. Which they usually do well brefore they see the expiry sate looming!

Moreso if some time has elapsed - and it's run out - usually renewals are done prior to expiration dates. And if it has expired, then they may have to undertake some re-training - it;s not an easy matter.

Unusual for anyone to allow such a valued qualification to lapse, never ever renewed! Her at that time being out of a job makes it even more curious! (Always good for a rainy day - knowing you;re registered to practice - takes long enough to get the relevant degree!)
WHY did she just "chuck" it in? Input and possible scrutiny from the Law Institute, perhaps, assuming this may have been, allegedly, a sacking - rather than a resignation. And if a resignation, was she pushed? What is the protocol re. such legal practice registration and certification?

Bet the light's on all night in Canberra in the PM's office. And who's the one who'll be (allegedly) ordering in the stacks of pizza's? - why, our good old imported Scotsman mate, John McTernan, chief Gillard media muckr - (sorry) - adviser.

He'll think of something. It'd better be good! Or it'll be Auld Lang Syne!
