With regards to further investigations into the "slush funds", I'm constantly amazed by the attitude of many who suggest that this is.... old news...why worry about it all these years later ???
Why worry indeed !!! If this was the accepted attitude by everyone, perhaps it would be logical to assume that an unsolved murder or rape or even a serious hit and run accident which occurred 17 years ago was unimportant even though new evidence had come to light....Old news...who cares ???
Ask that question to the men and women who form the successful Police Cold Case investigations squads.
Their answer would be..... Time is irrelevant, facts are everything.
Those who would like us to believe the "öld news theory" are fooling themselves and no one else.
