Fair enough but it is the game after all. Tell me an exploration well that gives you better odds than that.
All speculation, but lets say they find nothing. At 33c, the share price would probably drop to 10c.
If however they strike the black stuff (and there's a one in four chance they will), share price would go from 33c to SOME dollars.
If you had pot odds like that in a hand of poker, you'd go "all in".
