I was in an emergency in an aircraft once. One of the engines caught fire and the cabin filled with smoke. The apparent leader of the flight jumped up, stood in the doorway and screamed "DONT PANIC, DONT PANIC". Most of us looked at the people we could see through the smoke and it seemed the screamer was the only one panicking, we could all tell the aircraft was still flying straight and level on the other engine.
The morale of the story. It doth seem he protest too loudly for a calm spirit.
The loud one screaming dont panick is usually the first one panicking.
