I think I might just go out and buy a few shares on about 30 different stocks that I think might go up in value at some point in time in the future. Then when I buy some more in the future and I make some cracking gains I will only have to pay 50% tax on the gain. Sounds like a good deal to me. I think I have the answer to why Gillard has a $12bn hole in her budget, it's because our accountants have these really clever tax planning strategies !
