One thing you fail to realise is that it's not a level playing field in your so called "global village". If you start making money in some third world countries all of a sudden corrupt government officials are putting their hand out for payola, or you suddenly need extra permits. Or worst case you are intimidated by threats against you. This stems from un demorcratic practises and corruption so the term global village is just a myth. Australia is regulated and not wild west like alot of undevloped countries. As for ozl going into Laos they were more than welcomed because they put money and payed taxes to a poor country that desperately needed it.
