Servetus was not alone in suffering the hatred of religion. John Wycliffe produced a Bible translation in English at a time the Vulgate in Latin was not available to most as copies were handwritten and expensive. Religious authorities sort to hunt down and persecute any that obtained and used the Wycliffe Bible. Following his death they even had his bones exhumed , burned and thrown into the river Swift.
