I would bet that a skilful manipulator with good hair and a spiel about being a "startup person" and a "serial entrepreneur" can achieve a double-six-figure salary for very light duties. These might include writing white papers and doing public speaking while spouting mildly commonsensical things about AI, sitting on advisory boards etc.

COVID-19 offers a face-saving way of shuttering the business: "we had a plausible recapitalisation plan but the money dried up due to the terrible virus". In a few years no-one will remember that FGO was a disaster and a money pit that never had any original tech.
