Asleep at the wheel is as kind as you can be to this incompetent. We have done well as we are an island with the ability to control the boarder, if they had of implemented a sensible quarantine we would have done far better, if they had rolled out a vaccine at similar levels to some third world countries we would be able to stage opening up by now. As Sydney will continue to show it does not take much complacency for things to get out of hand. Hopefully they can put the genie back in the bottle- it is good to see they are finally recruiting pharmacists and walk up vaccination to the walk out of the vaccine, but may be a little to late for the many that will go through the hospitals and the unfortunate front liners who have to deal with them.

As long as the money flows to the big end of town the blue pantie brigade will be happy as they don't have to worry about the tax!

'...we would have done far better...' by what metric? Because be all accountable, we have done 'far better' then most countries around the world. Most have even adopted our strategies, you'd know this if you got your head out of the mud and stopped beating your chest.
