I think it’s such a different situation that I can’t get my head around it at all
It’s a massive cultural difference between Vietnamese and Afghans - who look to me like they share some strong similarities- which Australians just don’t share
not talking about bravery there.
On bravery - we’ve got some strong history away from home.
Hard to say how strong a civilian population would be.
But there’s huge difference in other areas - would there be bombing campaigns?
We know what that does to populations.
it’s also high tech- would we adapt to messaging?
could we hide in safe houses - could we hide in bush camps on the outskirts
Australia’s strength becomes it’s weakness - it’s remoteness.
Australia can’t have a Ho Chi Minh trail or be supplied from Pakistan
very different and very difficult IMO
