Agreed to an extent haemitite, the prices received to generate revenue for banks is a lot less volatile over short periods. Though under certain scenarios, their risk profiles shoot over the moon. 41 more failures in the US so far this year. BOQ was forced to tap their shareholders earlier this year after teetering on the edge of failure.
I doubt the loans to FMG will be called in though, the banks would have to write off a fat chunk of it which then puts their own solvency into question.
